A PAIR OF ROSEWOOD SIDE CHAIRS, the
saddle backs with stuffed serpentine
seats on cabriole legs, c. 1850.

A  MAHOGANY  NARROW  BOOKCASE,   the
moulded cornice above a pair of glazed doors enclosing shelves with recessed ebonised roundels above a pair of panelled cupboard doors, 243 by 138.5 by 35.5cm, c. 1850.
The narrow proportions of this bookcase suggest that it was made for a recess and has not been altered from a large bookcase.

A MAHOGANY DINING TABLE with tWO
‘D’ ends and two extra leaves, the top with a moulded border, on four leaf-carved turned fluted tapering legs with china castors, 30 by 108in; 76 by 274cm, c. 1870.

A WALNUT FOOTSTOOL with panelled ends and curved foot support, one bun foot replacee, 52in; 132cm wide, 1860’s.

A BEECHWOOD STOOL, the padded rect-angular top on four leaf-carved cabriole legs

A SET OF FIVE STAINED OAK ARMCHAIRS,
designed by E. Gomme, with oval backs and downswept arms, on stile supports, stamped Reg. No. 807334, c. 1932.

The High Wycombe firm of E. Gomme is mentioned in British Furniture 1880-1915 by Agius, pub. Antique Collectors Club, 1978, p. 189.
A GOOD THREE-PEDESTAL   MAHOGANY
DINING TABLE with two ‘D’ ends, inlaid with a rosewood border on a cross-banded edge, with three pedestals, each with lotus-carved stems and moulded twisted legs with brass

castors, 28 by 57in; 72.5 by 145cm, centre leaves lacking, measurements height and width only, c. 1850.

A ROSEWOOD PRIE-DIEU, the ‘T’-shaped back and seat worked with floral petit-point on moulded cabriole legs with scroll toes, c. 1860.

A MAHOGANY PEDESTAL DESK, the rect-
angular top with a leather inset above two frieze drawers with three drawers in each pedestal, 53i by 29in; 136 by 75cm wide and deep, mid 19th century.

A BURR-WALNUT CARD TABLE, the bow-fronted baize-lined top above a baluster with pierced corbel supports and quadruple legs, 36in; 93cm wide, 1860’s.

top inlaid with foliage, the spirally incised column on triple leaf-carved legs, 29 by 19in; 75 by 48cm, 1860’s.

MIRROR, the mirror plate within a moulded frame surmounted by scrolling acanthus, 76 by 62in; 193 by 158cm, c. 1860.

A WALNUT SETTEE with a double chair back and leaf-carved twisted curved arms, on moulded cabriole legs, c. 1860.

wood, the top crossbanded in tulip-wood, the frieze pierced with scroll-work and carved with cabochon, on a leaf-carved trestle support with cabriole legs carved at the knees

with leaves and joined by a moulded stretcher, 29 by 56in; 75 by 147cm, c. 1860.
